I am one of the few lucky ones that knows if one stays after Zumba class at the Airport Club and pulls just the right kind of song up on ones iPod, Cha Cha Dave’s ears will perk up and he will invite anyone within proximity for a dance.
Normally during class, he is very shy and quiet so this tendency often comes as a surprise to most. With long arms that allow for graceful turns, years of experience, and the attitude that you should just be having fun, Dave is the ideal dance partner!
For those not at the Airport Club, fear not because Dave can also be found almost every Sunday at Monroe Hall in Santa Rosa for Country-Western dancing. Not only that, but you may be surprised that the house is packed EVERY week with very friendly non-intimidating people out for a fun evening. The lessons start at 5:00, line dancing and partner dancing with separate instruction for beginners and intermediates.
Let me know if you want someone to go with!
And if there are other local dance events that might be of interest to readers of this blog that you’d like me to give a shout out to, just email
